Your Vote! Your Way! Petition
Greetings Lake Forest Registered Voters,
For 92 years the Lake Forest Caucus, of which you are all members, has through a rigorous process recruited and evaluated intelligent, non-agenda driven citizens to recommend for positions on City Boards and Commissions. The Caucus also recruits, evaluates and endorses citizens for the elected positions of School Board, Alderman, and Mayor. Under this system, the City of Lake Forest has thrived while maintaining sound financial discipline.
The voters of our community often have very busy lives and on any given Caucus-member voting day may find it difficult to appear “in person,” as required by Caucus Bylaws, to vote on Caucus matters. To increase the opportunities for Lake Forest registered voters to have their voices heard, the Lake Forest Caucus Committee is recommending adoption of a Bylaws Amendment to authorize on-line voting, in addition to continuation of in-person voting.
Sign our petition to show your support for adding in-person and electronic voting options to the Lake Forest Caucus Bylaws.
